"After consulting with my GP over a severe pain in my right side lumber regions (concerned that it was around the Kidney area) I was advised to have an X ray, which I then did.

This showed up a severe distortion of my lower spine, caused no doubt by my previous work experiences (printing and building) and also a couple of accidents over the years, one of which being a bad fall from a ladder which damaged my lower back.

It was suggested that I should be prescribed pain killers but it was doubtful anything could be done to correct the damage.

I then privately saw an orthopaedic surgeon who also stated that the damage was too bad to consider operating. He also suggested pain killers. As the pain was getting more severe and disabling and not being a fan of popping pain killer pills for the rest of my life, I contacted Jackie to ask if she could help with pain relief.

Jackie studied my X rays and seemed shocked by the shape of my spine, she stated that she was willing to try with treatment to relieve the pain, but stated “I am not sure how much I can do”.

I started treatment, having never had experience of acupuncture before, and after the first session, was somewhat surprised by various reactions within my body (which lasted for about 4/5 days). This then seemed to settle down and I was definitely in less pain. The following week after my second session the pain was greatly reduced even more, and no strange after effects.

After a month or so, treatment was reduced to every two weeks and then every three weeks. I now suffer no direct pain in my back area, just a slight ache to remind me when I try to do too much.

I have never had a pain as severe, as when I first laid on Jackie’s couch, since I got off it that first time. I now only need a “top up” as and when necessary, which seems to be 3 or 4 weeks, and have no restrictions or reactions from my movements. I would honestly say that Jackie has worked wonders with my body, and no need for pain killers what so ever. How glad I am that I did not listen to the answers from the traditional quarters. I am in awe of the power of acupuncture and Jackie’s ability to practice it so successfully."

"I initially started acupuncture for pain relief and as a compliment to physiotherapy after an accident. It soon became apparent in my discussions with Jackie that we could build a treatment plan to assist with my overall health and energy levels that had suffered since the accident, and I had largely given up on improving. In my case the process was gradual, I felt better on the day after treatment, then two days and so on. I now feel back to my old self, which has in turn rapidly improved the recovery process"

“I have been having acupuncture for about a year and it has helped me with my digestive disorders, aches and pains and pregnancy well being. It is a great remedy for morning sickness. Overall it helps me maintain a balanced body”

“After 6 years of insomnia I had tried everything with no success then my daughter suggested acupuncture as she had a friend who was a practitioner. My first consultation with Jackie was 2 years ago and although success was not instant I can now sleep at night. This was my first experience of acupuncture and I would not hesitate to recommend both it and Jackie as between them they have certainly improved my life. . . . . . . and continue to do so!”

Ms G, Surrey

“I first came to Jackie whilst she was still at College because I was having trouble conceiving. I was at little nervous about the needles (a bit needle phobic) but both Jackie and the acupuncture soon put me at ease! Within a few sessions I fell pregnant after several years of trying. I continued having acupuncture throughout my pregnancy to help me relax (due to previous pregnancy complications I was a little anxious) and had a beautiful healthy baby girl.”
